About the Platform
The German Transformation Forums is the German chapter of the Transformation Forums network, bringing together leaders from business, politics, academia and civil society.
Through top-level peer panels, roundtables and digital forums, we create space for the conversations that matter – beyond quarterly thinking and political cycles. Our focus is on the economic and societal transformations shaping Germany's future, and on the leadership required to navigate them.
We operate as an independent, non-partisan platform. We do not lobby for specific interests. We facilitate strategic dialogue, aggregate evidence-based perspectives, and build momentum for action. Our approach is grounded in transparency: partners are clearly identified, debates are substantive and held under the Chatham House Rule, and all voices contribute to a shared understanding of the challenges ahead.
Why This Matters
Germany stands at a turning point. The global economic order is shifting from integration to fragmentation. For an export-oriented economy with deep industrial roots, this is existential.
The investment gap is widening. Competitiveness is declining. Energy costs remain structurally high. These are not isolated problems. They are symptoms of a systemic challenge. Germany has the expertise, the industrial base and the talent to master this transformation. What is missing is urgency, alignment and decisive action.
The German Transformation Forums closes this gap. We bring together the voices that drive change: CEOs making investment decisions. Policymakers shaping the regulatory environment. Researchers providing evidence. Civil society representing broader interests.
